The following is an incomplete list of some of the activities we can organize for you. It is incomplete because the possibilities are so varied and we add new ones regularly.
Visit to Cerro Negro: Cerro Negro is the most active volcano in the chain of volcanos that forms Nicaragua´s fiery spine. Youngest of its brothers, the summit can be reached with an easy, 45 minute climb. Once at the summit, you will gain a spectacular view of the entire cordillera and a close-up, awesome peek into the crater. Distance: 30 km. Duration of tour: 4 hours. Bring water, cap or hat, sturdy footwear, comfortable clothes, and either a camera or a powerful gift of description. Cost: $10-$15, depending on number of travelers.
The Ruins of Old Leon/Leon Viejo: This tour will provide you with an opportunity to visit what was once the beautiful city of Leon, founded in 1524 but then buried by the Vesuvius of the America, Vulcan Momotombo in 1610. Rediscovered in 2000, it has been named a World Heritage Site by the United Nations. Along with an exploration of the excavations and reconstructions, you will also gain beautiful views of Lake Xolatlán and Volcanos Momotombito and Momotombo. Distance: 40 km. Bring water, cap or hat, comfortalbe footwear, comfortable clothes, etc. Cost: $15-$20, depending on number of travelers.
Salsa or Yoga Lessons: Agile hips to go with your new language agility. Learn Salsa or any of our Latin American dances, or stretch out with yoga with one of the best instructors in Central America. Available any time of the day. Cost: $7/hr.
We will also assist you in arranging visits to any of the many nature reserves in this beautiful region, or visits to other cities and sites.
